Ralphie, I can't put my arms down!!

This morning we were very excited to wake up to our first snow "storm". In reality, there is probably only about an inch or two on the ground, but for a Carolina girl, that's a pretty big deal. My mom bought Evie a snowsuit during the after-Christmas sales last year (OK, I MADE her by it by implying that she wasn't a good nana if she didn't). So I suited Evie up, made a quick stop at K-mart for some snow boots (is it just me, or is K-mart not cheap anymore? What's the point of spending $68 for a cashmere sweater from K-MART?! But I digress...) and then we had at it. Here are a few action shots. (Is it bad that when she fell down [which was often] I made her writhe about in the snow without any help until I could snap a photo? I just couldn't stand it-- it was too cute!)

When I was little, we were always allowed to have hot cocoa when we came in from playing in the snow. At the ripe old age of 16 months, I wasn't quite ready to introduce that to Evie. But she warmed up by nursing and cuddling with mama when we came inside. Fun adventures with my girl!!

OH MY GOSH. SO great. I'm so glad you got pictures. I'm glad you are having a fun snowy day! Or at least a few minutes of it. :) Tell Evie Stoosh to the oosh loves snow. :)

That is so awesome! I woke up to a dusting of snow this morning in good old NC, which as you know, is pretty exciting.

I put Evan's little hand in it, and he really wasn't having any of it.

And I totally would have done the same thing with the picture taking. We're not bad parents, we're preserving memories. :)

Evie is totally adorable!

So cute. You are, however, the worst mom in the world for not allowing the hot chocolate. But you should check out the divine recipe I just added to my blog.
Glad you had fun!

What about you drinking hot chocolate while nursing?!!?!? Doesn't that count?

Btw, I am a bad Mama who gives my 16 mo old half a cup of hot chocolate filled the rest of the way with ice cubes.

ok so today is snowed in manteo. it didn't cover the ground but it was exciting. so after nap time i told my Bender grandchildren we were going to have a special treat..you guessed it hot choclate. katie never let on as we prepared it that their mom had already given them hot choclate this morning. i said something about it and abbie said "no this is hot coacoa, mommy gave us hot choclate" :)
i love the snow baby pictures..but do remember that that snow suit is a christmas present!
